    Bahrain Multisclerosis Patients Society lauded for its contributions

    Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan received Bahrain Multisclerosis Patients Society Chairperson Nahla Abdelrahman Abul Fateh and discussed joint cooperation to improve services. Abul Fateh outlined achievements and planned projects and programmes, shedding light on services and targeted categories in cooperation with competent authorities.

    Bahrain Multisclerosis Patients Society lauded for its contributionsShe highlighted efforts to enhance the awareness of patients suffering from multisclerosis and update them about medical developments. Humaidan commended the efforts exerted by the Bahrain Multisclerosis Society, stressed the ministry’s keenness on supporting civil society institutions and backing quality initiatives. The Society helps improve the lives of those living with multiple sclerosis, by providing support and solutions to address areas of unmet needs.

    Multiple Sclerosis (MS) affects more than 2.8 million people around the world, most of whom are aged 20 to 40 when they are diagnosed. The most common, non-traumatic, disabling neurological disease among young adults, it affects more women than men. Relapsing remitting MS (RRMS) accounts for the most MS cases. Approximately 85 percent of all MS cases are diagnosed with RRMS.
